British Science Festival

Exhibition at the British Science Festival, September 2010

The British Science Festival, hosted by the British Science Association is one of Europe’s largest science festivals, taking place each September. The 2010 festival was held in Birmingham. As part of the festival a special session on Evolutionary Art was held at Aston University, which included the exhibition of  Niche Constructions. Some people had hoped that the software would be interactive – its currently autonomous, running in a “closed world” with no interaction with the outside world. It might be possible to incorporate the ability to interact beyond the closed world of the virtual canvas in a future version. Thanks to Aniko Ekart for organising the exhibition.
